
Pico8 is the same kind of thing, it's a hidden nostalgia lump that has little to no impact on the rest of the game, just like the strawberries it's there for the people that want a challenge / a nostalgia trip. Metroid Zero Mission literally included the entire NES original as an optional reward for finishing the game, that's what was mentioned you would have known this if you read their post. I'm sure some will appreciate it, I never said my opinion was absolute.

The Pico8 is just a major drag when compared to everything you experience getting there.
